Wyki Medical Keyboard
The Wyki™ is a wireless infection-control keyboard that monitors its own disinfect status to safeguard both patients and staff. Wyki has been designed for the most sensitive areas of a modern healthcare environment providing smarter prevention and control of hospital acquired infections. Typical healthcare keyboards have many users, so cross contamination from and to patients by these users can result in serious consequences such as illness or worse, particularly if transient bacteria such as MRSA or E.coli exist. The Wyki flat key design has smooth contours ensuring that it can be reliably cleaned with wipes or hospital-grade disinfectants. The keyboard base is manufactured using plastics injected with Novaron, a silver based inorganic anti-microbial agent, eliminating the spread of infection. |

The keyboard is battery powered and charges using a unique Smart Docking interface. Wyki integrates seamlessly with the JAOtech Smart Terminals, mounting below the terminal on a specially designed mounting bracket or used wirelessly on a patient’s lap or bedside table.
The keyboard has been designed for Doctors or Clinicians to access patient information and also for patient entertainment and triple play functionality.
Smart Disinfection™
The Wyki uses a newly developed disinfection function which can be utilised by hospital staff to indicate defined periods when the keyboard must be disinfected. Unlike conventional computer keyboards that can harbor reservoirs of harmful bacteria, this unique function promotes cleanliness to combat cross-contamination. There are no covers to replace or dispose of. When the disinfect button is activated it will temporarily disable use of the keyboard, which prevents any accidental key presses. When the disinfect button is activated a LED on Wyki will indicate this feature is operational.
